Ms. Coghill was admitted as a member of the California State Bar in October 2016. Ms. Coghill served as a trial lawyer in Dependency Court for five and a half years, from October 2016 through May 2022. Throughout her litigation experience, she appeared in court weekly, argued motions, researched relevant law, and conducted numerous juvenile dependency trials, including examining expert witnesses.
Ms. Coghill supervised and trained new attorneys at her previous employer’s firm as part of her responsibilities. Ms. Coghill received training in forensic interviewing and trauma-informed practices in addition to researching and appearing in court for related areas of the law such as conservatorship proceedings.
