Mr. Essex was admitted to the California State Bar in January of 2021. With a legal career that dates back to the mid 1990’s, Mr. Essex clerked at some prominent firms in Orange County including Arter & Hadden LLP and Smith, Ellison & Harraka while attending law school. There was a hiatus in Mr. Essex’s legal career as he pursued other business opportunities and took over a decade long break from school.

His other endeavors included forming his own recruiting company, ABW Group LLC and a five year collaboration with Leidos QTC Health Services where he was able to negotiate physician contracts for various government entities, such as the Department of Labor, the Reserve Health Readiness Program and Veterans Affairs.

Eventually Mr. Essex realized that he had unfinished business with the law, and he completed his JD and then an LLM in Taxation. While the pandemic of 2020 was not something many will look back fondly upon, it did allow Mr. Essex the time he needed to prepare for the bar exam. Prior to joining Greiner Law Corp, Mr. Essex worked as a sole practitioner specializing in personal injury, insurance bad faith and breach of contract matters.
